Kraken is one of the world’s leading crypto exchanges, and Kraken Pro is its advanced trading platform for professional traders, offering sophisticated trading tools, custody, and financial infrastructure for both retail and institutional clients.

Kraken’s original Classic interface was being split into two distinct products, Consumer and Pro, creating the need for a more scalable design system and a new generation of advanced trading features tailored to professional users. I led the design of the new institutional core products including Custody, OTC Trading, and Portfolio Management, while contributing to a major overhaul of the design system to improve consistency, scalability, and usability across the platform, delivering seamless high-performance experiences for professional and institutional traders across web and mobile.

Portfolio & Funding

Redesigned the Portfolio and Funding experience across desktop and mobile to improve clarity, structure, and usability, making balances, performance, staking, asset allocation, deposits, and withdrawals easier to understand and manage at a glance. Implemented flexible funding flows tailored to different regions, payment methods, and funding services.

OTC

The OTC experience was redesigned to support large block trades with greater clarity and confidence. A dashboard provides a clear overview of activity and key data before entering the RFQ flow, where simplified quote interactions and improved pricing transparency make execution faster and more intuitive for high value trading.

Custody

The institutional and custody experience was designed to provide a clear, secure, and structured environment for managing assets at scale. I simplified complex workflows around account management, permissions, and asset segregation, making it easier for institutions to oversee holdings and operations with confidence.

The experience prioritizes transparency and control, with dashboards that surface key balances, activity, and risk exposure at a glance. By bringing clarity to custody and operational flows, the design supports high value asset management while maintaining a streamlined and intuitive interface.

Mobile app

The mobile app was designed as a compact, on-the-go experience, bringing portfolio, funding, and trading into one place. The design focused on efficient navigation and quick access to key actions, with clear data presentation and responsive interactions that support fast decision making without losing depth.
